The only reason why Korena hasn't cut me loose yet has to be irrational.

She could easily have put another driver in her truck in this market, but she kept trying to get some carrier to hire me, personally, despite my hideous on-paper record.

A note on this: An over-length fine in Michigan, for which a bench-warrent for my arrest was issued when the fine wasn't paid, was bullshit.

It might have been identity theft again, or the scumbags just made it up.

A ticket in Ohio was for "crossing the center line", and I was too lazy to check it out when I got it, and just forwarded it to Korena.

I thought it was for "weaving"; distracted driving or whatever, but it was this pile of shit with a badge pinned on it trying to screw me as badly as he possibly could:

This was on me: If I'd studied the citation for maybe 15 minutes, I would have immediately called Driver's Legal and paid them 200.00 to get this bullshit tossed out.

I was on I-80, and the "center line" was a MEDIAN.

But because I was too lazy to do 10 minutes of homework, and couldn't imagine that this cop would deliberately screw me like that, I just forwarded it to Korena (who I stupidly trusted to look out for me).

The result was a "reckless driving" conviction.

I'm not bashing Korena over that. She's my boss, not my mommy. She manages several drivers and trucks. The world doesn't revolve around me.

But it and the Michigan ticket were bullshit, even BEFORE my positive alchohol test, and Korena has gone through hell to find me a new gig and keep me.

I just passed my pre-employment physical (including no diabetes and good blood pressure at 64).

They advanced me 250.00 and paid my hotel for several days while the assholes in New Castle "order parts" etc as usual while gouging her for 139.00/hour (don't get me started.  I could have saved her at least 2.5k and 25 days downtime had she listened to me).

...Anyhoo, my complaints about Korena are all still legit: She underpays me, makes me pay for hotel rooms when the truck is in for repairs, jams me up on hours sometimes, and her sister (the legal owner of the truck) remains disdainful and insulting to me.

But right now I'm grateful, and love Korena for having stubbornly gone through 27+ carriers to get me a new gig, instead of just replacing me.

Don't get me wrong: I'm 64, and suicide is always there for me. I wish you people didn't make such a big deal about that but I digress.

Don't count me in.  I might not wake up at any time. I'm just telling you that Korena (while disturbed and often irrational) isn't evil.

Korena underpays me and makes me pay for hotels when HER TRUCK is being repaired (which is rediculously unfair), but now here I am, with a new gig after a positive alchohol test, with a new gig--thanks to her.

Not to mention the tax stuff (don't keep me started; Korena is more rational than at least one of you) but I digress:

Today (sunday) I blew 38 bucks on Uber (stiffing both drivers, which irks me) to get to/from my physical.

I tried to take public transport, but on sunday it didn't work (the second uber guy picked me up at a bus stop).

I admit that I got dropped off at a BWW and drank beer and watched the Browns beat the Bengals.

As I write, I am drinking 2.00 drafts at McClarens Pub near my hotel.

I'm kinda going nuts here--actually trying to drink as much beer as possible, since I won't get a "pop quizz" before thursday, see?

I've been ordering Chinese Food and getting Chef's and Antipasto salads from another place pickup; no delivery).

The Chinese lasts me 1.75 days; the salads 1.25 days (more like 1.5 since I have started oh screw you quit bashing me).

I got 4 bags of peanuts in the shell on the way back from BWW for about 7.50. I will eat some of those shells, and plan to nuke some in water to see how that works, but I have no problem eating shells in the first place.

I SAVE peanut shells, just in case.

Well I think the book I’ve half written has real value.

Nah it must be garbage, right?
